THE UK REGIONAL CRITICS' FILM AWARDS WINNERS...

Hello My Lovelies,

Last night I was invited to the UK Regional Critics' Film Awards, hosted by Miquita Oliver, along with many others at the famous Cafe de Paris in London, to open up the British film awards season and celebrate some of the best of cinema this year.



So here are the first big winners of the night, the awards voted by you lovely people, the Public...

Visual Effects (In association with Empire Cinemas): Gravity

Animation Of The Year (In association with What's on TV): Frozen

On Screen Duo (In association with Movie Preview Network): Emma Thompson and Tom Hanks, 'Saving Mr Banks'

British Film of the Year (In association with BT): Philomena

Blogger of the Year: Ryan Kimbie, Den of Geek

The next big winners were voted by the Regional Critics' and were the big awards of the night...

British Breakthrough: George McKay, 'Sunshine on Leigh'

Screenwriter: Spike Jonze, 'Her'

Actress: Cate Blanchett, 'Blue Jasmine'

Actor: Chiwetel Ejiofor, '12 Years A Slave'

Director: Alfonso Cuaron, 'Gravity'

Film of the Year: 12 Years A Slave

Along with seeing who had won the public and critics votes, we were treated to games in which you could win The Worlds End dartboard, an item from GI Joe and tickets to the premiere of 'The Monuments Men' next week. Unfortunately I didn't win but well done to those who did.

Also at the event, we were treated to a sneak preview of all the films to look forward to this year and here they are...

I would like to say a massive thank you to the FDA, who allowed me to go to the event and to the staff of Cafe De Paris, who provided us with the loveliest drinks and food all night! THANK YOU!

P.S. Empire Cinemas are going to be opening their first IMAX screen very very soon!
