RECKLESS DVD REVIEW...

A few weeks ago I was kindly sent the film Reckless to review. Not knowing much about it I found the film described as being a mixture between Fifty Shades of Grey and Gone Girl. So it was definitely going to be intense.
Starring the talents of Patrick Wilson and Lena Headey, the film follows Wilson’s character as he faces the toughest time of his life as his secret relationship with an escort becomes an addiction leading to a disastrous result.
Wilson and Headey are on top form within the film as Wilson shows again his ever growing talents on screen. He displays a new side to his talents and makes himself a well-known figure on screen in this role as he makes sure that you are still talking about him after it finishes. His relationship on screen with the women is intense and at many times creepy, leading to an unsure feeling throughout viewing.
Backing him up the rest of the cast continue to show their talents alongside him. While Wilson leads, Ray Winstone who also stars makes his film comeback in this. He makes sure that he is showing his strongest side again in this film. Together they are a power duo.
I would not say the film was too much like Gone Girl or Fifty Shades but more of a darker film. It is a bit like Basic Instinct in fact. But as said before a lot darker.
