It looks like we could be getting a glimpse at one of the top contenders for next year’s award season right now lovelies because Emma Stone and Steve Carell have joined forces to give us Battle Of The Sexes.

Due out on the 20th October, the film captures the sexual revolution and women’s movement in the 1970s, as women’s world #1 tennis player Billie Jean King and ex-men’s-champ and serial hustler Bobby Riggs come together to play one of the most watched sporting events of all time.

As the pair battle personal issues of the court, they are faced with 90 million people watching them around the world, as secrets begin to be broken. Struggling to come to terms with her sexuality, King finds feelings for her friend Marilyn Barnett begin to develop.

Whilst, Riggs battles gambling issues affecting his family. Together, they not only changed the world of sport but the way in which men and women were viewed.

The film also stars Andrea Riseborough, Elisabeth Shue, Sarah Silverman, Bill Pullman and Alan Cumming, to make what looks like a brilliant feature film lovelies. See what I mean below...
