Eight Hours Don't Make A Day DVD Review

Good Morning Lovelies,

Three hit films and director Rainer Fassbinder decided he wanted a change. One that came in the form of Eight Hours Don't Make A Day, a German TV show that changed the way people watched programmes.

Unlike the weekly programming we have now, the show was a treat shared over the course of five months. Following the Kruger family, it took audiences on a series look at how a family developed and the relationships built within it.

The five hefty episodes were ones that continually packed a punch. They knew how to make audiences react and it seems as though modern shows like This Is Us have used this basis now.

However, the show has a built more of a soapland feeling. Not so much a sitcom one. The characters are brought to life in the same way as those on Emmerdale or Corrie are and they aren't afraid to pack that soap opera punch.

Fassbinder provided audiences with a mixture that made everyone fall under its spell. Nobody knew what to expect when it first came out and when watching it for the first time now you will feel the same. Soap opera or TV gold, it is an interesting and enthralling watch.

There so I am giving it...
